The Tone Booster is our own circuit design, and it's developed to ‘stack’ particularly well with overdrive and distortion pedals, almost always making them sound better, even if you don't use the EQ'ing possibilities much. It just adds something magical to the sound.
Perfect as an always-on pedal, as the extra gear to occationally make you louder - or as a tool for when you switch guitar or amp, and need to compensate your EQ. It's a very versatile pedal that you might never have thought you needed, because pedals that don't really give an 'effect' are boring. But not this one.
The Reuss Tone Booster circuit is based on the ‘Baxandall’ tone-stack, making the controls neutral in the middle position, so that both boosting or attentuating of frequencies are possible.
The circuit was originally developed for the 'Recidivist' pedal (Chris Brokaw signature pedal), and I love it so mych, I decided to make a run of stand-alone pedals. I have had 50 enclosures printed for this first run, so, for now it's a limited release, but if the interest is good, I'll make it a permanent part of the Reuss pedal portfolio.
